By doing this project, I wanted to show different ways of sorting and organizing materials like minerals by size, surface and color without using the simplicity of infographics.
I chose to scan, photograph and illustrate the minerals to get three different representations.
Every poster works by itself, but if you picture them together, you can see similarities and you can also discover, how different the same mineral can look in those three representations.

I used flour to get a fame of every mineral in a rectangle. That way, I was able picture the size of the minerals whiteout really showing them themselves.
To show the different materials und surfaces, I decided to scan the minerals. Because of the sizes and apparition forms, some of the scans get blurry in the background, but appear very sharp in the front,
